| About | My birthday is on NOV. 10th and I am REALLY excited about buying my first electric guitar and amp for the occassion.
PLEASE help me do this by purchasing at least one of my songs. I have little cash at the moment and can use ALL the financial support I can get (like many of us!) THANK YOU!!! even "just" mental support is appreciated. what we give, we receive. ;) In South Philly projects born and raised, a playground is not where I spent most of my days. [I moved to North Philly- Broad & Olney- when I was 7 and to Seattle, WA at almost 20. Moved back to Philly at 28.] I've been in love with music as far back as I can remember. It's what kept me warm MANY emotionally cold nights and physically chilling days. It's helped me cry when I've needed to most. It's made me smile when I didn't think it was possible.... Music loves me like no other, and I love it just as much. It is my lover, best friend, parent, child, sibling and muse. It wasn't until I was 25 though, that I began to take music seriously- as a career. I've always loved it, but didn't think I could be a "musician". One day, I realized that I already WAS a musician- and I haven't looked back since. Guitar has been a passion of mine since I can remember. Prince has been one of my favorite artists since 1984- Purple Rain. I have my brother to thank for that. He loved him, so I got to hear all of his music through his purchases. When I was a kid, I used to play rubberbands- literally. I loved the sounds they made. I'd play pots and pans and tables too with wooden spoons and shit (LOVE the drums too!). When I look back on my childhood, I see how much I longed to play music. I never took it seriously as something I would pursue whole heartedly because it was a baring of my soul that I wasn't ready for when I was younger. I didn't have the self love and confidence/faith in life that I have now, which makes me get on stage and channel music. My "goal" in life isn't to make money, it's to MAKE MUSIC- and share it. I'm not looking for "high profit margins". WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR ARE PEOPLE TO RESPECT AND APPRECIATE EACH OTHER'S INDIVIDUALITIES/IDIOSYNCHROSIES AND SHOW COMPASSION FOR ONE ANOTHER. I aim to make most of my songs ones that people of all ages and walks of life can sing, dance, listen to or enjoy in some way, while being true to the expression of the song. I wish to share the things in life that have brought me the most pleasures and insights that have helped me through my most difficult and unbearable times. I enjoy uplifting people and empathizing with them, so that they don't feel alone and afraid during their darkest times. Music is one powerful and effective way for me to do that.
