| About | HoneyBaked is a BirmingHam based band with 5 members: Peyton Grant-21, Jaime Isobe-23, Paul Wheeler-22, Jonathan Ross-22, and Doug Norton-21. Collectively, the band has 60 + years of playing experience with 3 of its members completing undergrad majors in the field of music.
HoneyBaked is strongly rooted in Birminghams music tradition. The band formed in the summer 2004. Though the members have been classically trained, the bands main focus is fusion. The styles they incorporate range from jazz-blues to funk-rock with improvisational flare. Some of their many influences are Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Cannonball Adderly, Joshua Redman, Soulive, Hendrix, John Scofield, Govt Mule, The Allman Brothers Band, Phish and Weather Report. HoneyBaked has played at various bars and clubs in the area including Base Camp, Martys, Zydeco, Workplay, Billy's, and Ona's Music Room. Currently, the band is stretching out further from Birmingham with all coasts in view. |
