| About | I play the drums.
I freelance as a jazz drummer in and around the Philadelphia area, and in July of 2006 I had the good fortune of joining Iqram. I dig Coltrane, Wayne Krantz, Meshuggah, Jef Lee Johnson, Miles, Pantera, Mel Torme, Van Halen, Bill Evans, and on and on. I typically listen to one CD, sometimes one track, over and over until I've gotten everything I can get from it, then move on to the next thing. I play Agop Istanbul cymbals. In January, 2002, I started teaching at Temple University, and I loved it immediately. In my life I've had a number of truly great teachers who inspired and encouraged me to be the musician and the person I am today, and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to try and do the same thing for others. I believe in community - we all have a responsibility to help as many people as we can. Other interests: politics, environment, carpentry, bridges. |
