| Press | Chenier is a Queens, NY native now living in Raleigh, NC. He began singing at the early age of 5. As a young man, he has been singing in numerous choirs which motivated him to pursue a career in music as a singer, songwriter and performer. Like most artists, Chenier began singing in church. While in high school, he studied voice at the Brooklyn Academy of music, which landed him a partial scholorship at St. Augustine's College in Raleigh NC. While in college, Chenier began developing his writing ability, as well as honing his vocal skills. He has been told that his sound is compared to the likes of Brian Mcknight, but he feels he has his own sound. His musical influences include but are not limited to Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, Smokey Robinson, & Brian Mcknight |

I recently found out that I'm one of 10 finalists from the music contest on here that is eligible to win $1000 at the end of the month. In order for me to win, I must have the highest amount of votes by members, album sales and overall activity on my profile.
